Description

These Valentine’s Day Decadent Gingerbread Latte Mousse Domes are a delightful mix of espresso, white chocolate, and warm spices, offering a rich taste in every bite. Perfect for holiday gatherings, they are simple to prepare and perfect for impressing guests with a charming dessert!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup espresso
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup white chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon gelatin
  • 1 cup mascarpone
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons ginger

Instructions

  • Bloom the gelatin in a small bowl of cold water.
  • In a saucepan, combine the warm espresso with brown sugar, stirring until dissolved. Mix in white chocolate, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg, then remove from heat to cool slightly.
  • In a mixing bowl, whip mascarpone and cream until soft peaks form. Fold in the cooled mousse base until smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, mix flour, ginger, and salt. Stir in molasses and egg yolk to form a soft dough; roll out and cut circles for the cookie base.
  • Grease silicone dome molds, fill with mousse, and press cookie rounds in, leaving space at the top. Cover and freeze overnight.
  • Once frozen, heat glazing ingredients to 90°F, unmold the domes, place on a wire rack, and pour the warm glaze over.
  • Transfer the domes to a serving plate and top with cocoa powder or mini gingerbread cookies.

Notes

Make sure to bloom the gelatin properly to achieve the desired mousse texture.
Feel free to substitute cream cheese for mascarpone if needed.
