- 2 cups small salted pretzels (crushed)
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup salted butter (melted)
- 8 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups heavy cream (12 oz)
- 6 oz strawberry flavored gelatin
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1 lb fresh strawberries (sliced)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and gather all your ingredients.
- Combine crushed pretzels and brown sugar in a food processor until chunky.
- Add melted butter and pulse until the mixture is moistened.
- Firmly press the pretzel crust mixture into the bottom of a parchment-lined 8×8 baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes until golden brown and cool completely.
- Using a hand mixer, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla in a bowl.
- Pour in the heavy cream and mix until smooth. Spread over the cooled pretzel crust and refrigerate for at least an hour.
- In a medium bowl, mix the strawberry gelatin powder into boiling water until dissolved. Chill for about 30 minutes until thickened.
- Fold in sliced strawberries with the thickened gelatin and pour over the cream cheese layer. Refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours or until set.
- Slice and serve chilled.
Notes
Make sure to chill the dessert for the full 2 to 4 hours for best results.
You can use other flavors of gelatin based on preference, such as raspberry or peach.
This dessert can be made a day ahead of time for convenience.
