Description

This Strawberry Pretzel Salad is a delightful combination of flavors featuring a crunchy pretzel crust, creamy filling, and fresh strawberries. Perfect for potlucks, this easy no-bake dessert will satisfy your sweet tooth and impress your guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups small salted pretzels (crushed)
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup salted butter (melted)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream (12 oz)
  • 6 oz strawberry flavored gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 lb fresh strawberries (sliced)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and gather all your ingredients.
  2. Combine crushed pretzels and brown sugar in a food processor until chunky.
  3. Add melted butter and pulse until the mixture is moistened.
  4. Firmly press the pretzel crust mixture into the bottom of a parchment-lined 8×8 baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes until golden brown and cool completely.
  5. Using a hand mixer, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla in a bowl.
  6. Pour in the heavy cream and mix until smooth. Spread over the cooled pretzel crust and refrigerate for at least an hour.
  7. In a medium bowl, mix the strawberry gelatin powder into boiling water until dissolved. Chill for about 30 minutes until thickened.
  8. Fold in sliced strawberries with the thickened gelatin and pour over the cream cheese layer. Refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours or until set.
  9. Slice and serve chilled.

Notes

Make sure to chill the dessert for the full 2 to 4 hours for best results.
You can use other flavors of gelatin based on preference, such as raspberry or peach.
This dessert can be made a day ahead of time for convenience.
