Description

Ingredients

  • 1 (10 oz) angel food cake
  • 1 (3.4 oz) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 (21 oz) can strawberry pie filling
  • 1 (8 oz) container cool whip (thawed)
  • fresh strawberries, optional

Instructions

  1. Cut the angel food cake into cubes and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the instant vanilla pudding mix, whole milk, and heavy cream on low speed. Gradually increase the speed and beat for 2 minutes until thickened.
  3. In a 9 x 13 pan, arrange half of the angel food cake cubes evenly at the bottom.
  4. Dollop about 2/3 of the strawberry pie filling over the angel food cake cubes.
  5. Spread the vanilla pudding mixture evenly on top of the filling.
  6. Add the remaining strawberry pie filling over the pudding layer.
  7. Spread the thawed Cool Whip evenly on top.
  8. Refrigerate for 3-4 hours before serving.
  9. Garnish with fresh strawberries if desired.

Notes

For best results, chill the dessert for a full 4 hours to allow flavors to meld.
You can substitute the strawberry pie filling with fresh strawberries for a lighter option.
Ensure the Cool Whip is thoroughly thawed before use to make spreading easier.
