Instructions
- In a high-powered blender or food processor, combine all the ingredients: jalapeño, olive oil, parsley, cilantro, shallot, garlic, lime juice, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
- Blend the mixture until you reach your desired consistency, either chunky or smooth. You may need to stop occasionally to push down the ingredients for better incorporation.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
- For optimal flavor, allow the chimichurri to sit for a few hours before serving.
