Description

These Rice Krispie Treats for Valentine are a sweet treat with an irresistible flavor. Simple to prepare, using butter, mini marshmallows, and white chocolate, they are perfect for celebrating love with homemade goodies.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 tablespoon butter unsalted
  • 12 ounce mini marshmallows
  • 7 cups rice krispies cereal
  • 5 ounce white chocolate melts melted
  • sprinkles optional

Instructions

  • Line a 9×13 baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  • In a large pot over medium-low heat, melt the butter, then add marshmallows and lower the heat.
  • Stir constantly to prevent sticking until the marshmallows are fully melted.
  • Remove from heat and pour in Rice Krispies. Stir quickly until the cereal is evenly coated.
  • Transfer the mixture to the pan and press it down evenly (use butter or non-stick spray on your hands or parchment paper to avoid sticking).
  • Allow the mixture to cool in the fridge for about 10-15 minutes and then cut the treats into desired pieces.
  • Melt the white chocolate in a heat-safe bowl in the microwave or over a double boiler. Add food coloring until the desired shade is achieved.
  • Let the chocolate cool slightly before transferring it to a piping bag. Cut a small opening at the tip of the bag.
  • Drizzle the melted chocolate back and forth over the treats and add sprinkles if desired.

Notes

Ensure to stir the mixture continuously to avoid burning the marshmallows.
Using wax paper to press the treats can help prevent them from sticking to your hands.
Feel free to customize with different colored sprinkles for any occasion.
