This Red, White and Blue Fruit Salad combines fresh watermelon, strawberries, and blueberries for a delightful summer dish. It’s quick to prepare and perfect for celebrations, offering a healthy and refreshing option that everyone will love.

- 1 small seedless watermelon
- 8 apples (optionally reserve 1 for making stars)
- ½ yellow honeydew melon
- 4 cups strawberries (stems removed)
- 2 cups raspberries
- 2 cups blueberries
- 1 cup red grapes
- 1 cup blackberries
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice per 1 cup of water (for soaking apples)
Instructions
- Wash all fruit and let them dry.
- Cut watermelon, apples, and honeydew melon into small squares. Slice strawberries to your preference: halves, quarters, or tops removed.
- Soak sliced apples in lemon juice and water mixture for at least 10 minutes if not serving immediately, using 1 tablespoon of lemon juice for every cup of water.
- Arrange blueberries and blackberries at the top left of your serving dish as a starting point.
- Layer remaining fruits in a repeating red, white, and blue pattern until the dish is full or all fruits are used.
- Use a star cookie cutter to cut shapes from one apple and place them atop the blue fruit layer to finish decorating the salad.
Notes
For an attractive presentation, use a large, clear bowl.
Add mint leaves for extra flavor and a pop of color.
