Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups Flour
- 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 12 tbsp Butter, Cold & Dice
- 3/4 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup Honey
- 12 tbsp Butter
- 1/4 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 3 1/2 cups Pecans, Chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare a 9 x 13 pan by lining it with foil and applying non-stick spray.
- In a food processor, combine flour, powdered sugar, and salt to make the crust. Pulse these ingredients together until well mixed.
- Add the cold, diced butter to the mixture in the processor and pulse until the mixture turns crumbly.
- Press the crumbly mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan evenly. Bake for 18 minutes.
- Now, prepare the filling by combining brown sugar, honey, butter, heavy whipping cream, and salt in a large saucepan. Bring this mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat, then stir in vanilla and chopped pecans until fully combined.
- Pour the filling over the warm, baked crust. Return to the oven for another 20 minutes, or until the top is bubbling and has turned a caramel color.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
Notes
Make sure your butter is cold for a flaky crust.
Let the bars cool thoroughly for easier cutting.
These bars can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
