- 1 pound ground beef seasoned with taco seasoning
- 12 ounces tortilla chips sturdy chips to hold the toppings
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese for melting
- 1 cup shredded monterey jack cheese for melting
- ½ cup jalapeños sliced, for added heat
- ½ cup sour cream for topping
- ½ cup guacamole for topping
- ½ cup fresh salsa for topping
- 1 teaspoon salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat and add taco seasoning.
- Spread the tortilla chips evenly on a baking sheet, then spoon the cooked ground beef over the chips.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese over the beef, and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10-12 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Take out of the oven and top with sliced jalapeños, sour cream, guacamole, and salsa.
- Serve immediately, garnishing with cilantro or additional toppings if desired.
Notes
