Ingredients
Scale
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tbsp vanilla
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 2 tsp corn starch
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup halloween m&m's
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg and vanilla until fully incorporated.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, corn starch, and baking soda until well mixed.
- Slowly add the dry mixture into the wet ingredients, stirring until you achieve a cookie dough consistency.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently to distribute them throughout the dough.
- Scoop out 1 1/2 tablespoon-sized portions of dough and place them on the prepared baking sheet, allowing space between each cookie.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, until lightly golden. Once out of the oven, press additional M&Ms and chocolate chips into the tops of the cookies.
Notes
For added flavor, consider using mini chocolate chips or a mix of your favorite candies.
Make sure to leave enough space between the cookie dough balls as they will spread while baking.
Do not overbake; the cookies will continue to cook slightly after being removed from the oven.
