Description

These Grinch Oreos boast the perfect blend of flavors with red velvet cookies coated in light green candy melts. Ideal for parties or holiday gatherings, this simple recipe delivers show-stopping treats everyone will love!


Ingredients

  • 10 ounces light green candy melts
  • 12.2 ounces red velvet Oreos
  • 24 red heart sprinkles
  • 1 tablespoon dark green sanding sugar (optional)

Instructions

  • Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside. Reserve ½ cup of light green candy melt pieces for the drizzle.
  • Melt the remaining candy melts in a double boiler over low heat, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth. Alternatively, use the microwave in 30-second intervals.
  • Use a fork to dip one Red Velvet Oreo into the melted chocolate. Lift it out and gently tap the fork against the bowl's edge to remove excess coating.
  • Place the dipped cookie on the prepared tray and repeat with the remaining Oreos.
  • Place the reserved ½ cup of candy melts into a microwave-safe piping bag. Melt on low power, massaging the bag every 60 seconds.
  • Snip a small piece of the tip off the piping bag. Drizzle the chocolate over the dipped Oreos in a zig-zag pattern.
  • Immediately top each cookie with a red heart sprinkle and optional green sanding sugar.
  • Allow the chocolate to set completely at room temperature or in the fridge before serving.

Notes

Ensure the candy melts are fully melted before dipping to achieve a smooth coating.
For a festive touch, add more colored sprinkles or edible glitter on top.
Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature.
