These Grilled Shrimp Skewers bring mouthwatering flavor with fresh shrimp marinated in garlic and lemon. They are quick, simple, and a fantastic choice for a summer BBQ or a healthy meal any time!

- 1 lb. large shrimp, peeled and deveined, tail on
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice from 1 lemon, about 3 tablespoons of juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground or cracked pepper
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Add the shrimp to the mixture, tossing it to coat evenly. Allow the shrimp to marinate for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
- Thread the marinated shrimp onto either metal or soaked wooden skewers and discard any remaining marinade.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and place the skewers on it.
- Cook the shrimp skewers for about 2 minutes on each side until they are pink and opaque.
- Remove from the grill and serve hot, optionally with lemon wedges.
Notes
For added flavor, consider adding herbs like cilantro or parsley to the marinade.
Ensure the grill is properly preheated for even cooking and optimal flavor.
Using wooden skewers? Soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
