Description

These fudgy vegan brownies are quick to prepare and irresistibly delicious, featuring key ingredients like unsweetened cocoa and chocolate chips. Perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth with a homemade touch!


Ingredients

  • ½ cup (118ml) vegetable oil
  • 1 ½ cups (300g) granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • ½ cup (20g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 4 ounces (113g) unsweetened applesauce (about ½ cup)
  • 2 ounces (57g) unsweetened chocolate, melted
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ cups (186g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (170g) semi-sweet chocolate chips (vegan ones)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a 9×9-inch pan with foil and spray it with cooking spray.
  2. In a bowl, stir together vegetable oil and granulated sugar. Mix in vanilla, cocoa powder, and applesauce.
  3. Add the melted chocolate and salt, stirring until the mixture is smooth. Gradually incorporate the all-purpose flour and then add the chocolate chips.
  4. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-28 minutes.
  5. Allow the brownies to cool before cutting them into squares, and consider dusting with powdered sugar for presentation.

Notes

These brownies can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
Feel free to add nuts or other mix-ins to customize your brownies.
