Description

Savor the delightful blend of cherry blossom syrup and matcha in this Easy Sakura Latte. With minimal prep and mesmerizing colors, it’s perfect for a refreshing treat at any time of the day!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup milk (240 grams)
  • 4 teaspoons cherry blossom syrup
  • 2 teaspoons matcha powder
  • ½ cup hot water
  • ¼ cup cream, optional (60 grams)

Instructions

  • Sift the matcha powder into a small bowl using a fine mesh sieve.
  • Pour ¼ cup of the hot water (around 170℉ or 80°C) over the sifted matcha and whisk until foamy and aerated.
  • Add the remaining hot water to the matcha mixture and gently combine.
  • In a separate jug or bowl, mix the milk with cherry blossom syrup until well combined.
  • Fill two large serving glasses halfway with ice cubes and pour the Sakura milk into each glass.
  • Gently and slowly pour the prepared matcha tea on top, being careful not to mix the layers.
  • Top with cream if desired and serve.

Notes

Ensure the water is not boiling when adding to the matcha to prevent bitterness.
For a thicker texture, use less hot water when mixing the matcha.
This latte is best served immediately for the best visual effect.
