Description

This Easy Caramel Chocolate Mousse Domes recipe offers a blissful combination of smooth chocolate mousse and salted caramel. Perfect for gatherings or as a sweet treat, these delightful domes are simple to prepare with rich flavors that will impress your guests.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz quality chocolate semi-sweet or dark chocolate
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp gelatin
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 cup fresh berries
  • 1/4 cup chocolate shavings

Instructions

  • Melt the chocolate and unsalted butter together in a double boiler, stirring gently until smooth. Set aside to cool slightly.
  • Whip the heavy cream in a large mixing bowl until soft peaks form. Fold it into the cooled chocolate mixture gently.
  • Cook granulated sugar in a medium saucepan over medium heat until golden amber. Add butter and heavy cream while stirring continuously until smooth, then add sea salt.
  • Spoon the mousse into dome molds, creating an indentation in each. Fill with salted caramel and cover with more mousse. Chill for at least 4 hours.
  • Unmold the chilled mousse domes by gently pressing on the sides and serve chilled.
  • Optional: Garnish with fresh berries or chocolate shavings before serving.
