Description

This Doctored Up White Cake Mix is your go-to for a delicious, homemade dessert. It’s easy to prepare, made with cake mix, sour cream, and fresh milk, making it perfect for gatherings or family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 15.25-ounce box white cake mix
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 egg whites or 3 whole eggs
  • 1/2 cup butter melted and cooled slightly
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325℉ and grease a 9×13-inch pan. Refer to the notes if you wish to make a layered cake.
  2. In a stand mixer or large bowl, combine the cake mix, flour, and sugar.
  3. Add the sour cream, milk, egg whites, melted butter, and both extracts to the mixture.
  4. Beat the ingredients for 1 minute, ensuring to scrape down the sides of the bowl halfway through.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it out evenly.
  6. Bake for 28-32 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean.
