Description
These Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cookies are a delightful treat, combining rich chocolate flavor with the sweetness of strawberry. The simple preparation and irresistible taste make them ideal for any occasion, whether for a quick dessert or a heartfelt gift.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 strawberry cake mix
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 eggs
- chocolate chips or chocolate candy melts
- sprinkles, if desired
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pans). In a large bowl, mix together the cake mix, vegetable oil, vanilla, and eggs until a dough forms.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 15 to 30 minutes. Shape the dough into 1-inch balls.
- Place the balls on ungreased cookie sheets, ensuring they are about 2 inches apart. Bake in the oven for 9-12 minutes until they look dry on top and are just starting to turn golden on the bottom.
- Let cool for 1 minute, then transfer the cookies from the sheets to cooling racks. Allow to cool completely for about 30 minutes.
- Drizzle melted chocolate on one side of the cookies or dip them into the chocolate, adding sprinkles if desired.
Notes
For a richer chocolate flavor, use chocolate candy melts instead of chocolate chips.
Chilling the dough helps prevent the cookies from spreading too much while baking.
Adjust the amount of sprinkles according to your preference for decoration.
