- 1 1/2 cups salted butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 4 cups fresh blueberries
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350℉ and line a 9×13 inch pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer, combine the butter, 1 cup sugar, vanilla, and salt.
- Scrape down the sides of the bowl then stir in the flour until fully mixed.
- Press about 2/3 of the mixture into the prepared pan and bake for 15 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, combine 1/4 cup sugar and cornstarch. Add the blueberries and stir until combined.
- Spoon the blueberry mixture over the baked crust and spread to create an even layer.
- Top with the remaining crumb mixture to cover the blueberries.
- Bake for an additional 30-35 minutes until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
- For the optional icing, whisk together the powdered sugar and 2 tablespoons of milk, adding more milk as needed for a drizzling consistency.
- Drizzle icing over the cooled bars before serving.
Notes
Ensure the butter is softened for easier mixing with other ingredients.
Feel free to adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar based on your taste.
