- 3 cups shredded chicken
- 1/2 cup salsa
- 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
- 1½ cups refried beans
- 2 cups cheddar cheese
- 4 tostada shells
- 8 ounces shredded lettuce
- Pico de Gallo
- Lime juice
- Sour cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400˚F.
- In a large bowl, mix together the chicken, salsa, and taco seasoning. In a separate small bowl, whisk the sour cream with lime juice.
- Arrange the tostada shells on a baking sheet. Spread refried beans onto each shell, then add a layer of cheese followed by a scoop of the seasoned chicken. Top with extra cheese.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and the chicken is heated through.
- After baking, top the tostadas with shredded lettuce, pico de gallo, and a drizzle of lime sour cream. Serve hot.
Notes
You can use any type of cooked chicken; rotisserie is convenient.
Feel free to add other toppings like jalapeños or avocado for extra flavor.
Make it spicy by using hot salsa or adding fresh chilies.
