Description

This Apple Cider Donut Bundt Cake offers a delightful flavor packed with spices and moistness. Easy to prepare and a wonderful treat for any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups (500 g) all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups (600 g) granulated sugar
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 4 teaspoons apple pie spice
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 ½ cups apple cider, or apple juice
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • ¼ cup (½ stick / 57 g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup apple cider
  • ½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons apple pie spice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 10 to 12 cup Bundt pan with baking spray containing flour or with butter and flour.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, apple pie spice, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine apple cider, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla until blended.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined; avoid overmixing.
  5. Transfer the batter to the prepared Bundt pan in an even layer.
  6. Bake for 50 to 65 minutes. Check with a toothpick for doneness: it should come out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Cool in the pan for 10 to 15 minutes, then invert the cake onto a wire rack.
  8. Brush or drizzle the warm cake with ¼ cup apple cider.
  9. Mix the sugar and apple pie spice together, and while the cake is warm, sprinkle over the surface for even coverage.
  10. Allow the cake to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

Make sure the eggs are at room temperature for better mixing.
Optional: Add chopped apples or nuts for extra texture and flavor.
Store the cake tightly wrapped to keep it moist and fresh.
