- 1.5 pounds salmon fillets boneless, skinless, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
- 1 Tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon chili powder
- 1 Tablespoon brown sugar
- Chili crisp oil (optional) for drizzling
- Toasted sesame seeds (optional) for garnish
- Sliced green onion (optional) for garnish
Instructions
- Place the salmon pieces in a large bowl and drizzle the olive oil over them, tossing to coat.
- Combine cornstarch, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, chili powder, and brown sugar in a small bowl. Sprinkle the mixture over the salmon and toss until well-coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Arrange the salmon bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring there is space between them. Cook in batches if necessary.
- Air fry for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden and cooked through.
- Remove from the air fryer and drizzle with chili crisp oil, if desired.
- Serve hot, garnished with toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions over rice if desired.
Notes
Ensure that the salmon bites are evenly coated with the seasoning for the best flavor.
You can adjust the spices to your preference for more or less heat.
For extra crunch, consider adding some breadcrumbs before air frying.
