- 5 cups frozen strawberries
- 1 cup fresh strawberries
- 1/2 lime , juiced
- 1 cup white coconut rum , or white rum
- 1/4 cup simple syrup
Instructions
- Prepare the simple syrup by combining equal parts granulated sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat. Allow the mixture to cook until the sugar dissolves completely, which should take about 10 minutes. You can use 1/2 cup of sugar and 1/2 cup of water.
- Once the simple syrup is ready, let it cool completely.
- In a blender, combine all the ingredients: frozen strawberries, fresh strawberries, lime juice, rum, and cooled simple syrup. Blend until the mixture is smooth. If desired, serve with additional rum and whipped cream on top.
Notes
For a sweeter drink, adjust the amount of simple syrup to taste.
