Description

This Horchata Latte (Hot or Iced!) features a rich blend of creamy rice, cinnamon, and almond flavors. Perfect for breakfast or a cozy afternoon treat, it’s both delicious and easy to make at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup milk (or nut milk)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Ice (for iced version)
  • Cinnamon sticks (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Blend the cooked rice and water until smooth.
  2. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large bowl to remove solids.
  3. Mix in the milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.
  4. For hot latte, gently heat the mixture in a saucepan without boiling.
  5. To serve iced, pour over ice and stir lightly.
  6. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and enjoy.

Notes

Adjust the sugar level according to your taste preference.
For a richer flavor, let the horchata sit for a few hours in the refrigerator before serving.
