Instructions
- Season the steaks by patting the filets dry and generously seasoning all sides with kosher salt and black pepper. Allow them to sit at room temperature for 10–20 minutes to ensure even cooking.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F, lightly greasing the basket with avocado oil spray.
- Place the seasoned filets in the basket and air fry for 10–15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 135°F for medium-rare, adjusting time for desired doneness.
- Prepare optional garlic butter by mixing 2 tablespoons softened butter, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl. Spoon it over the steaks after resting for a delightful finish.
- Let the steaks rest for 5 minutes before slicing to retain their juices.
