Description

These Healthy Crockpot Hawaiian Meatballs combine delightful flavors with simplicity. Featuring juicy meatballs, sweet pineapple, and tangy BBQ sauce, this easy-to-make dish is perfect for a quick dinner or a fun gathering!


Ingredients

  • 3 lbs frozen meatballs
  • 20 oz can pineapple chunks drained with juice reserved
  • 1 red bell pepper chopped
  • 1 ½ cups bbq sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • ¼ teaspoon ginger powder
  • 2 tablespoons green onions for topping

Instructions

  • Place the frozen meatballs, pineapple chunks, and chopped red bell pepper in the slow cooker.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together BBQ sauce, brown sugar, white vinegar, soy sauce, minced garlic, and ginger powder. Pour this mixture over the meatballs.
  • Cover the cooker and set to LOW for 4-5 hours or HIGH for 2-3 hours until the meatballs reach an internal temperature of 160°F.
  • Stir the meatballs gently to coat them with the sauce, and finish with sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

You can substitute fresh meatballs if preferred, adjusting cooking times accordingly.
