Description

This homemade Creamy Alfredo Sauce is a delightful blend of butter, garlic, heavy cream, and parmesan cheese. Perfect for fettuccine, it’s a quick and delicious way to elevate your pasta dishes. Enjoy a restaurant-quality meal at home with minimal effort!


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 tsp garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • up to 1/4 cup hot milk (optional) or pasta water
  • 1 pkg fettuccine noodles – cooked to package directions
  • freshly chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium high heat and add the minced garlic. Let simmer for just a minute.
  • Add in the cream and half and half and whisk until it’s all incorporated. Bring back to a gentle simmer.
  • Whisk in the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Add the Parmesan cheese and let it melt slowly while stirring continuously.
  • Once the cheese is completely melted and not stringy, whisk in small amounts of hot milk or pasta water until you achieve your desired sauce consistency.
  • Toss the sauce with the cooked fettuccine noodles and garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

For a thinner sauce, add more hot milk or pasta water gradually until preferred consistency is reached.
Feel free to adjust the seasoning according to your taste preferences.
